Chaired by Dr Joe O’Connell, the committee was made up of representatives of the Trustees, the Teachers and the Parents.. The committee kept all stakeholders aware of the progress of the project.. The College was built as part of the Public Private Partnership model.. Construction began in the summer of 2010 and was completed in August 2011.. We are indebted to the professional and efficient approach of the construction company, Sisk.. We also owe our thanks to Mr Seán Burke, CEO of County Limerick VEC for his commitment to the project.. Coláiste Íde agus Iosef is a Community College under the patronage of the Diocese of Limerick and County  ...   school.. Change is never easy.. However it can be said that since we opened in August 2011 everything has run very smoothly.. This is due in no small part to the commitment of the staff and students of the College.. Our school welcomes everyone, regardless of ability.. Our dedicated staff will strive to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to.. achieve their potential.. We all appreciate that we are lucky to have a brand new state of the art school at a time of severe economic difficulty.. There will be challenges ahead but I am confident that we can face and overcome.. those challenges in a spirit of community and hard work.. I look forward to leading a school which I believe will provide a first class education for all the young people of the area.. I am delighted to launch the.. website.. of our school..
