    Descriptive info: If you have decided to consider mediation.. The first thing we will do is to agree a time and location that suits all parties for our first session.. At this meeting we would assure you that Mediation is voluntary, confidential and its aim is to assist all parties in arriving at a solution that is satisfactory to all.. We would also explain that our role as your mediator is to remain neutral, non-judgemental in order for you to reach a satisfactory agreement.. The process is as follows:.. 1.. We would hold an information session with all parties to explain the process and how it works.. 2.. We meet with each party individually in order to listen, clarify and gain an in-depth knowledge of each parties’ position.. 3.. We guide the discussion and sometimes may act as “devil’s advocate”, by asking difficult questions to prompt a specific response.. 4.. We act in a non-judgemental capacity, ensuring that all parties  ...   sessions will be focussed on discussing the items on the agenda and reaching suitable agreements.. The agenda may change during the mediation process and that is not unusual as often you may think of something during the process of mediation that needs to be added to the agenda for discussion.. 7.. Remember, this is your process and we are there to help you to work through matters and reach agreement.. There is no timescale for mediation, we will continue to work with you until everybody is satisfied that they have discussed and agreed every matter that is important to them.. 8..
