    Descriptive info: Fallon's bar café, although open a relatively short time, it's heritage stretches back a good deal further.. The original Fallons opened its doors in 1922 in Prosperous under the capable hands of Willie and Lucy Fallon.. Selling seafood chowder back then was a tad ambitious so the business model had a slightly different twist.. Starting out as a Hardware with an attached bar licence the hostelry (now Larrys) set the foundation for the business it is today.. The name took a brief trip to Wicklow where it resided over the door of Frank Clare's Leitrim Bar on the seafront  ...   moved the family to the Red House Inn.. Here Frank and Clare ran the famous old eatery until their son Brian took over in 1989.. A vicious fire destroyed the old house in 2005 and raised the great business to the ground.. The name once again went on the move this time travelling short distance to Kilcullen, it's arrival replacing another great name "Berneys".. Berneys has it's own history and has been synonymous with fine food for over three decades.. Fallon's bar café is presently enjoying a vibrant trade, keeping the story going and making it's own bit of history..

If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered.. All of the staff at Fallons were extremely professional, efficient, friendly, courteous and accommodating.. We met with Rose the chef and discussed the menu in full and no special dietary requirement of our family members was a problem.. We were both delighted to meet thechef and staff on the day while they prepared the meal fresh to order.. The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated on the day and all our guests complemented it.. Both Mary and Tom ensured that the day went off without a hitch which meant we could both relax and enjoy our reception.. I would highly recommend Fallons as a venue for your wedding day.. I had always thought Fallons would be a perfect spot for an intimate and relaxed wedding and once my Fiance saw their beautiful stone room he didnt need anymoe convincing.. From our first meeting through to our last dance Fallons couldn't have taken better care of us, We had guests from Ireland all over the U.. K.. and Europe and everyone agreed it was the best wedding they had experienced, and people are still talking about the beef.. The friendliness of the staff, the efficient service, the delicious food and the lovely setting make a perfect combination for an intimate and special wedding.. Mary, Tom, Rose and all their team helped us have a wonderful time and we can not recommend Fallons highly enough for a special day.. Gillian and Michael, 5th September 2009..
