The Copyright Owners Collecting Society P.. collects the income from Broadcast and Public Performance from the different users, Radio, T.. , Nightclubs, Hotels, Restaurants and everywhere Music is Publicly Broadcast.. The live event took place in Vicar Street, Dublin on Wednesday March 4 and featured performances from as many of the acts who could play on the night as possible.. The following acts and albums were nominated for the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year 2008 (acts in alphabetical order):.. Wednesday 16th May - R.. made it's 2006 Domestic distribution payout to Irish Performers, monies from the broadcast and public performance of sound recordings on Irish airwaves and Irish Disco’s and Nightclubs was paid out to more than 1300 Irish Performer.. pays out over 3 million euro in 2005 to Artists.. has paid out in excess of 3 million euro to Performers in 2005, the organisation is delighted with the results to date but is anxious that Artists who have played on sound recordings, register their contributions to ensure that they receive their monies.. The money is due to Artists when a commercially produced sound recording that they have contributed to has been broadcast on commercial radio or played as background music in Hotels, Bars etc.. The contribution to the sound recording means any Artist including a session musician who performed on the studio recording.. For further information Artists should contact R.. at info@raap.. ie to check and update their repertoire where necessary.. Recorded Artists and Performers is committed to protecting the Intellectual Property Rights of all members.. makes 1.. 3 million euro pay out to Members.. 16th May 2005 - Recorded Artists and Performers made a distribution to its members of more than 1.. 3 million euro from public broadcast and public performance in Ireland for 2004 and from monies collected in Austria, Brazil, Germany, Holland, Italy, Japan and the United States..
